Alf Svendsen. Pastel drawing on gray, laid Strathmore cotton fiber paper (watermarked), 18 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image), 19" x 12 1/2" (sheet), signed ("Svendsen") lower right, in pencil. Pinhole in each of three corners, two pinholes at the center upper edge, one of these just outside the image; hinged to the backboard with a small piece of tape in either upper corner, verso; Matted (double-ply, acid-free board); unframed. Undated (probably, a work from the 1950s or 1960s). Alf Svendsen (born 1930), studied University of Notre Dame (with Ivan Mestrovic); commissions: Hall of Man, American Museum of Natural History (ca. 1960s).
