Send music from a single amplifier or receiver to six pairs of speakers throughout your home with the 60-007 4-way speaker selector. Push-button controls let you turn each pair of speakers on and off independently. Features a manually-activated power protection circuit switch, located on the rear panel, that maintains a stable 5-ohm impedance load to ensure amplifier stability. Pass through speaker output terminals allow easy connection possibilities.
  • Distributes one stereo speaker-level signal to six stereo listening zones.
  • On/off selectors for each listening zone
  • Play any pair, combination of pairs, or all pairs simultaneously
  • Manual protection switch maintains a stable 5-ohm impedance load to ensure amplifier stability
  • Spring-loaded push terminals accept up to 12ga cable

  • Installation and Connection
Connect the speaker cable to the appropriate "+\-" terminals. A minimum of 16-gauge speaker cable is
recommended. These terminals will accept up to 12-gauge speaker cable. Separate left and right ground
paths ensure compatibility with all amplifiers, even when bridged.
Route speaker cables from each speaker zone and the amplifier to the speaker selector.
Strip 3/8" insulation from the end of the cable and twist exposed end.
Press the spring-loaded lever on the appropriate speaker terminal and insert the stripped end of the cable into the
speaker terminal. Be sure to observe proper "+\-" polarity when connecting the cables.
Release the spring-loaded lever to clamp the cable in place. Gently pull on the cable to verify that it is secure.
The system is now ready for testing. Turn on the sound system and set the amplifier's volume control to a
moderate level. Sound should be heard from each zone when its button is depressed.

    Installation Precautions
A SPEAKER SELECTOR WITH 6 PAIRS OF 8-OHM SPEAKERS WILL PRESENT THE AMPLIFIER WITH A
1.33-OHM LOAD PER CHANNEL WITH THE POWER PROTECTION CIRCUIT SWITCH IN THE "OFF"
POSITION. THIS MAY DAMAGE YOUR AMPLIFIER OR CAUSE IT TO SHUT DOWN PREMATURELY. DO
NOT DISABLE THE POWER PROTECTION CIRCUIT, UNLESS YOUR AMPLIFIER CAN HANDLE THE
COMBINED IMPEDANCE OF ALL ZONES ACTIVATED.
Never place the speaker selector where it will be exposed to excessive moisture or heat.
Allow 1" clearance above the unit.
