Vintage leather official West German Police motorcycle jacket. Made in 1969, this is a heavy-duty garment that is in immaculate condition for its age, aside from one small blemish under one of the front pockets (see pics). The leather is still quite soft and supple, with no cracks or rips. The inside lining is almost like new, and features an extra-deep inside pocket designed to hold the officer's gun, and a pair of leather loops inside the shoulders (I don't know exactly what they're for). All the buttons, including on the two epaulets, are fully intact.

This is a very high-quality, handmade jacket in resplendent German police green that truly embodies the notion of "they don't make things like they used to!". I've owned the coat for about 20 years, but only wore it a handful of times (I never got around to buying a motorcycle!), so it remains nicely preserved. Despite its near half-century-old age, I have no doubt it would hold up brilliantly to regular daily use.

Size is a German 52, which is roughly a U.S. size Large (I'm a little over 6' and weigh ~185 lbs. who typically wears a Large, and it fits me perfectly).
