The probe contains two geiger tubes and preamplifier-normalizer compiled in two thyratrons TH4B (diagram you can see on the images). The first tube STS-5 captures the low level of radiation and the second tube Si3BG captures high levels of radiation. Also at high levels of radiation second tube compensates "reverse gain" of the first tube. This probe can be connected to the headphone or buzzer as shown in the diagram. In headphone will be heard shots when radioactive particles reach the counter tubes. Additionally, in the thyratrons will be visible flashes. Perfect for the demonstration of ionizing radiation.
