This is a 8mm film format negative holder for use with the Plustek Opticfilm film scanners (Patent Pending). This was CAD designed and manufactured for use with the Regular 8 mm and Super 8 mm movie film format. According to Plustek and other sources, this holder should fit the following Plustek Opticfilm models: 7200, 7200i, 7200i SE, 7300, 7400, 7500i, 7500i SE, 7500i AI, 7600i SE, 7600i AI, 8100, 8200i SE, and 8200i AI. Please be certain to measure one of your OEM Plustek holders against the measurements of this holder as listed below. If you find the measurements of your OEM holder are larger in any dimension than below (except length), please do not purchase this holder (and a subsequent message to me about possible incompatibility would be very much appreciated).

This is a newly designed holder for the Plustek Opticfilm line that features two "borderless" scan windows that are each 30 mm in length. If you have frames where it is critical to have edge-to-edge scanning, those images can be positioned within one of the two borderless windows. Please note that 8 mm movie film was never intended to be scanned as a still image format. You cannot expect to get the same scanned image quality from an 8 mm frame that you could from a 35 mm negative.

Features: Unlike some designs, this holder features a recessed channel to hold your negative strip firmly which can help avoid scratches or trapped dust that other holders may cause.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Ebay has recently changed rules for international buyers. If you are buying multiple items from the same seller you can no longer combine shipping. Ebay will also require you to pay immediately so I am not able to send you an invoice for combined shipping. Unless something changes (or unless you know of a way to combine shipping that I haven't found yet), your only option is to buy and pay for each item separately. This will likely result in overpayment of shipping charges. I always refund overpayment of combined shipping charges, but unfortunately Ebay charges sellers a 10% commission on the original shipping charge and will not refund the difference. Important additional notes:

- If you are buying my holders for resale, please be aware that my products are more about "function" over "form." This is why they are so inexpensive compared to other commercially produced options. Each holder is custom made and may contain spot sanding and other finishing marks. I do my best to clean my products up cosmetically, but due to sales volume I simply can't spend a lot of time on it. My main concern is that it works like it is supposed to. As a result, if you are reselling please be aware that you may need to do some more finishing work suitable for a retail environment.

- Aftermarket holders for odd film sizes will usually require the ability to manually scan film strips with "thumbnail" modes turned off. Depending on your model and software, masking of individual frames for scanning may be necessary for the best results. Please ensure you know how to set your scanner/software for full manual control. Simply pushing a green button on the front of your scanner (common with Epson models) to scan a film strip will not work with most aftermarket film holders.

- Please pay particular attention to the "handling" days before shipping as noted above. I do not typically maintain an inventory of my film holders as most are custom made upon order placement. As such, I ask for 5 business days handling before shipping. My average is likely around 2 days, but there are occasions where orders are very high and I may need all 5 business days before I am able to ship your holder. Please keep this in mind.
