A healthy blood pressure is one of the key measures of a healthy heart, so your blood pressure is vitally important! What exactly is blood pressure? Blood pressure is a measure of the force against the walls of your arteries in response to the pumping of your heart. The amount of blood being pumped and the flexibility of your arteries both influence that force. Your blood pressure can rise when either or both of these things happen: Your arteries contain a large amount of blood. Your arteries lose some of their flexibility. When your blood pressure rises, your heart has to work harder to keep blood flowing. Certain situations could cause this increased demand for a short time – like high intensity training – but that’s not an issue if you’re healthy. The problem is when it’s continuous. Forcing your heart to pump hard without a break can place it under a great deal of stress. When your blood pressure is too high, even when within the normal range, your arteries can become stiffer, which makes your heart work harder – and your blood pressure go even higher within the normal range. High blood pressure, also called hypertension, refers to blood pushing against the walls of the arteries with chronically elevated force. Blood pressure that rises above normal levels and remains high can lead to serious health problems. By activating the sympathetic nervous system, stress can cause the arteries to maintain a more rigid tone.

Olive Leaf benefits

Olive Leaf is well-known for its cardiovascular benefits. But olive leaves have also recently emerged as a highly touted boon to health. They contain a substance known as oleuropein, which has been demonstrated to boost the immune system and to also lower blood pressure naturally. Benolea is a special patented olive leaf extract that is standardized for oleuropein and has been clinically shown to inhibit the enzyme that causes blood vessels to constrict. That’s why I recommend looking for products that contain Benolea olive leaf extract, and use as directed. The olive leaf was first used medicinally in Ancient Egypt, and it was a symbol of heavenly power. It is the leaf of the olive tree, called Olea europaea. Olive leaves have been used in the human diet as an extract, an herbal tea and a powder. They contain many potentially bioactive compounds that have antioxidant, antihypertensive, antiatherogenic, anti-inflammatory, hypocholesterolemic and hypoglycemic properties — similar to olive oil benefits. More and more studies are proving that olive leaf is a powerful medicinal tool; olive leaf benefits include cardiovascular and immune system support, an increase in energy and promoting healthy blood pressure. Olives continue to be a food stable in countries such as Morocco, Italy, Spain, France, Lebanon and Syria, and because of recent scientific studies that prove its health benefits, the olive leaf is becoming increasingly well-known and appreciated outside of olive-growing regions. Today, olive leaf is gaining recognition for its various health benefits.

Folic Acid benefits

Folic acid is also known as vitamin B9 or folate. Folic acid is important for tissue growth, cells development, and healthy brain development. It is a vital element for cell division, which is necessary for producing the genetic material, the DNA. Hence, the level or status of folic acid in the body plays an important role in the division of cells and tissues. Folic acid has an important function in red blood cells. White blood cells are also produced with the help of folic acid supplements. The proper intake of folic acid can give one’s skin a natural, healthy, and moisturized glow. Folic acid, along with vitamin B12, helps the heart in many ways. They help reduce blood clotting; blood clots lead to cardiovascular problem. Some women lose a lot of blood during these days. If you experience heavy flow during periods and feel more exhausted, then the reason might be the deficiency of iron and folic acid. Taking foods rich in iron and folic acid will help improve the condition. You can consult with your doctor if you need supplements. The main cause of folic acid deficiency is an imbalanced diet, which contains low quantities of fresh vegetables, fruits, and fortified cereals. Over cooking of foods may destroy folic acid. Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid) belongs to the family of water-soluble vitamins. It is essential to include this vitamin in your routine diet plan. The human body is capable of preparing this essential vitamin, and it is then stored in the liver. Daily requirements of the human body utilize a part of this stored vitamin and surplus amount is released out of the body through excretion. It performs some of the most vital functions of the body, including eveything from RBC formation to energy production.

Hawthorn berries benefits

According to University of Maryland, hawthorn berries are packed with heart-healthy compounds like, flavonoids, rutin, epicatechin, vitexin, catechin, proanthocyanidins, quercetin and hyperoside. These compounds help to dilate blood vessels, the damage to blood vessels and improve blood flow. Hawthorn exert a relaxing effect on the arteries, consequently enhancing blood circulation and blood pressure. Native to northern Europe, hawthorn grows throughout the world. The red berry-like fruits contain many powerful substances. Hawthorn berries belong to the same family of plants as apples and roses, which is why they’re bright red in color. And like roses, the berries are accompanied by long, woody thorns that can be quite hazardous, if not carefully handled. During ancient times, every part of the bush — flowers, berries, leaves, stems and bark — were used to make medicines. In fact, most modern preparations use the leaves and flowers (standardized extract) which are believed to contain more flavonoids than the berries. Heart failure is a condition whereby the heart is unable to pump enough blood to other organs in the body. Hawthorn has been extensively studied in people with heart failure, showing positive results. Hawthorn berries may also be useful for controlling blood pressure. A pilot study from Readings University in the UK set out to investigate the hypotensive potential of hawthorn extract and magnesium. Participants were assigned a daily supplement of either 600 milligrams, 500 milligrams hawthorn extract, a combination of both or a placebo. At week 10, researchers found a reduction in the resting diastolic blood pressure in the participants who were assigned the hawthorn extract.
