LEA Networks The ST5 & ST1 series 1 and 5 pin modules utilize state of the art balanced gas discharge tube and optional self resetting PTC technologies to protect the telecommunications network from overvoltages and overcurrents (sneak currents) caused by lightning, electrostatic discharges, AC induction and AC power faults. The ST5 & ST1 series 1 and 5 pin modules are always on guard protecting the infrastructure while remaining transparent to the telecommunications network, allowing for maximum speed and bandwith without signal degradation.

INDUSTRY COMPATIBILITY:

TheThe ST5 & ST1 series 1 and 5 pin modules are compatible with LEA Networks connectivity systems or any other industry standard  1 and 5 pin modules protection blocks at central offices, remote terminals, building entrance terminals or customer premises installations. Modules are third party tested against all Telecordia and UL 497 requirements. 

ORDERING OPTIONS:

Overvoltage breakdown is available in 220V or 300V ratings for ST5 5 pin modules and 230V or 350V ratings for ST1 1 pin modules.Optional Overcurrent (sneak current) protection rating is at 180mA and is self resetting. Each module is equipped with an internal unibalanced fail-short mechnism to ensure personal safety and superior equipment protection in accordance with NFPA, UL and Telcordia requirements.
