• This upgrade 1.2c is the final upgrade released by Akai for the S-900.
• Included will be 2 new EPROM chips to complete the upgrade.
• All EPROM upgrade chips supplied here are brand new, recently manufactured and sourced directly from ATMEL to ensure data integrity well past our natural lifetime.

Please keep in mind that the S-900 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chips will be supplied.

This firmware upgrade set is a must in order to utilize the OS 4.0 system boot disk, thus enabling your S-900 to have almost the SAME functionality as the S-950!

• The 1.2c firmware upgrade contains several bug fixes, improved stability and finalized system code optimizations.
• Already have 1.2c installed in your Akai S-900 and only need the OS 4.0 system boot disk? Check my other listing purchase the disk separately.

Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.

Unlike some others, No used or refurbished as “new” 35+ year-old components will be supplied here.

All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
