Effect; "The magician displays a beautiful feather flower. Then when he goes to smell it or breaths on the flower it wilts away/droops away from the magician at a sharp angle". This creates a great deal of laughter from the children and I milk it for all it's worth.
This is a classic effect that I still use today. I like to use this as a warm up trick in several of my themed shows. I make the children clap their hands to make the flower stand back up straight again. This really works well getting the children ready to respond to your show that is why I use this as a warm up trick.
