The original Danelectro company was first founded in 1947 and by 1954 they started producing a distinct line of quirky guitars, eventually expanding to 12-strings, baritones and even sitars! The instruments often used unique lipstick-tube pickups, which contained the pick-up inside lipstick tubes, as well as concentric stacked tone/volume knobs on certain models. Danelectro's goal was to produce no-frills guitars of good tone at low cost and now Replay Guitar Exchange is excited to offer many of the instruments in the range. Here is Danelectro’s ’56 Baritone in a deep black and now with higher impedance, high output Lipsticks pickups for richer tone. This instrument is too cool to not find a place in every player’s arsenal. It features a single cut body shape, “Dolphin” headstock, a fully adjustable bridge, 2 high output, high impedance Lipstick pickups with 1 master volume and 1 master tone control, plus a 3 way pickup selector. A case is not included.
