This awesome Amusements lighted, animated, musical Santa's Christmas Toy Fund coin bank is brand new, in the original manufacturer's box and fitted styrofoam packaging, and is exclusively by Roman, Inc. It is Roman Item #31044, and is made of resin, wood, and plastic. It is approximately 9-3/4" high, 6" wide, and about 4-3/4" deep. It runs on 3 "AAA" batteries (not included), and the battery compartment is on the back of the bank. We took pictures from all angles, hoping to capture its wonderful details and functionality, but unfortunately you can't really get the full, charming, festive effect of the lights, motion and music from photos. If you click on each photo and run your cursor over them, that enlarges the details. Rest assured, we check all of our Amusements for functionality, and pack them extremely well for safe shipping.
This amazingly detailed bank is a deep Christmas red, and on the front side it has a silver "key pad" and white coin slot with red dollar signs, and is adorned with white snowflakes throughout. Across the top it says "Christmas Toy Fund", and plaque-style poem in the middle of the bottom that says "santa's on his way - better start a' saving for presents on Christmas Day". One of the sides is adorned with a large white decorated Christmas tree, with "BEST CHRISTMAS WISHES" below it, while the other side is solid red and has the two control knobs at the bottom.
The front window of the bank is a thick, durable, clear plastic, throug which you can see and watch the activity in the toy shop. Santa is seated at a brown workbench on top of the gift machine's silver cogs and gears. He's wearing a beige apron over his Santa suit, and is busy painting a little toy house, and has a green and red wrapped package at his feet. The wall behind him is beige and patterned with gold holly and snowflakes. Below him to his left, his elves are busy working with the Christmas presents, with one at the top of the stairs, and one at the bottom. On the back wall is a large, rotating gear with a conveyor belt around it, on which sits wrapped presents and toys. The toys go around on the conveyor belt, and "drop" into a large green toy sack with gold corded ties. On the wall above the elf at the top of the stairs is a calendar with the month of December showing, and the 25th is circled in red.
One of the really neat things about this is that it isn't just a decoration, but actually functions as a coin bank, too. You can activate the motion, lights, and sounds in two different ways. There are two red control knobs on the side of the bank. The bottom larger one is the On/Off switch and volume control. When you turn it to the right, it turns the bank on so you can activate it, and the further to the right you turn it, the volume of the music increases. The smaller control knob above it activates the motion, lights, and music, and once you've turned on the bottom knob, you push the smaller one once, and it plays one of 8 Christmas songs. You can also activate the motion, lights, and sound by actually putting a quarter or coin into the coin slot on the front (again, the bottom control knob must be turned on for the coin slot activation to function). The money that drops into the bank can be retrieved on the underside of it. We took the clear, rubber stopper out of the hole where the money comes out, so you could better see it in the photo.
