bore: 1.95 mm (for press fitting onto 2mm metal shaft)
height: 4.6 mm
approx.dimensions, large gears:
diameter: 24.8 mm
bore: 2 mm (free running on 2mm metal shaft)
height: 6.2 mm (second gear) 8.9mm (third gear)
This odometer/gears can be found in a number of vehicles from around '80-s and the '90-s.
Some of these were:
- Audi 200 (C3)
- BMW E24
- BMW E28
- BMW E30
- Mercedes-Benz W124
- Mercedes-Benz W126
- Mercedes-Benz W107 (R107)
The list is incomplete, there are other cars that were also fitted with these.
Also, if your car is on the list, that does not mean 100% sure that it has a 12 tooth gear in it, due to manufacturing variations and aftermarket repairs.
The only way to tell is to pull the odometer apart.
Note:
These parts were precision manufactured of durable, self lubricating engineering plastic. They will never break like the originals did.
My gears are perfect fit - no need to remove any flash, or add spacers, just install and forget about them.
In these odometers, first gear is always 12 toothed, while the second (black) gear is 48x12 toothed.
Third (yellow or amber) gear can have several tooth counts.
If your gear is broken so badly you can't count its teeth, you can still identify it by counting teeth on the next (meshing) gear.
E.g., if the meshing gear has 48 teeth, you need 48x12 third gear, included in this listing.
