It depends on using a chemical called Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate to repair the proteins in the hair folicle. Olaplex Plus takes the main chemical for repair within Olaplex and adds more of it to each of its products in the form of Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. It then includes Hydrolysed Keratin into the mix (keratin proteins/aminos). Keratin aminos makes up most of your hair follicle and has been speculated to have a synergistic effect when combined with Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate which repairs broken proteins in the hair follicle. It uses the disulfide bond theory to bridge broken sulphur bonds back together. The addition of hydrolysed keratin has a temporary strengthening and overall feeling of better hair health as a minimum. All in all this boosts effectiveness up to 15-20% over standard Olaplex. It works the exact same as applying No1 and No2 separately as instructed except you only need to apply once. Made solely for post treatment repair. Please note this is quite powerful and it is only for very damaged hair. You can over repair your hair leaving it with too much protein. Please see our overuse section.
