This watch has been in my family since it was purchased it from a jeweler on Hilton Head in 2004. It had a routine preventive maintenance in July 2010, and runs well, keeping time to within about +/- 12 seconds a day (that’s a precision of 99.99986%).

The serial number, 1918244, suggests this watch has a 1966 manufacture date. Caliber marker reads 1570.

Some of my photos appear to show some horizontal marks over the 12 on the acrylic crystal. Those are reflections of the ceiling lights in the room. The crystal is freshly polished, and in beautiful shape. See other photos from different angles that show the reflections are not there.

A similar blue dial 1675/1570 GMT sold on ebay in October of this year for $5900, and it even had no bracelet, and needed repair according to the seller.

In June of this year, Kent Parks of Everest Watch Works in Scottsdale Arizona did a beautiful job reluming all hands & indices with the newest & brightest X1 grade SuperLuminova. I did a dark-room comparison of the lume on this watch, compared to the Chromalight lume of a new 2017 Rolex. Both have the same brightness and longevity of lume, lasting through the night. See photos.

Blue bezel insert is a high-quality non-Rolex aluminum insert, purchased from superstar ebay seller Wholesale Outlet in Conroe Texas, who only sells the best quality parts available. I think this watch makes a statement with the blue bezel; but I am also including Pepsi & Coke inserts I have on hand, in case you prefer those.

Bracelet is a never-worn Hadley-Roma solid link jubilee style. I bought two of these bracelets when I began wearing the watch three years ago. I am moving the one I wore to another watch, and have put the never-worn one on this watch. This bracelet has the same weight, and quality feel (supple, easy movement of links; durable finish; edges not too sharp like cheaper bracelets) as a Rolex bracelet.

Original caseback is included; and also a high-quality German made crystal caseback. Kent Parks professionally leak-tested the watch in June of this year with the crystal caseback in place, and the crystal caseback has not been removed since. The crystal caseback has a value of about $150. If you do not want it, and would like me to remove it and re-install the original caseback, let me know and I will refund you $150 off of your bid price.

I just hand-polished the acrylic crystal with PolyWatch, so it will be nice and shiny when you receive it. Watch will come in a presentation box, ready for holiday gift giving.

Please note my excellent feedback record, and bid with confidence. If your feedback record is negative, minimal, or otherwise sketchy, I reserve the right to cancel your bid. This is a lot of money for me, and I cannot afford to take extra risks with this transaction.

On Nov-20-17 at 08:09:32 PST, seller added the following information:

There is a very shallow ding on the original caseback. It is barely perceptible by touch, and certainly not enough to affect the movement of the rotor. It can be seen on the outside, but only very slightly on the inside. I'm guessing a jeweler dropped a tool on it on the workbench. Email me for a photo.

The movement serial number is:  D217019

One of the photos shows the back of the dial disc. I do not know whether this is an OEM part or an aftermarket part.
