MODEL, YEAR, FEATURES:  Circular brass trimmed dial and Zenith crest are hard to miss on this 1952 Model J-615, a favorite for many with its elegant design.  Like many Zeniths from this era, it’s equipped with a carry handle, has a pilot light above the Volume knob, and even a jack on the back side to plug in an old phonograph for amplification.  Hours were put into this set getting it to look and sound like it did sixty-five years ago including a thorough servicing of the electronics, and it will be ready to listen to and proudly display.

CONDITION, SERVICING, PERFORMANCE:  The cabinet displays beautifully with an excellent reflective gloss;  in my stronger light photos you can see marbled effects in the Bakelite.  There are no nicks, cracks, scratches or mars, and radio was well cared for over the decades.  A bright red jeweled pilot light will light the way in a dimly lit room as seen in photo.  Lacing on the handle is well intact, and factory tube layout sticker is partially  intact on the underside.  The tubes are commonly found to this day, and are easily serviced if needed.  Dial mechanics were serviced, power cord was replaced with a safe one, and the electronics have been gone through with capacitors replaced and a thorough check of other components to ensure reliable performance free of hum or distortion.  Radio picks up all our stations with ease with its six tube circuit and loop antenna.  The backboard is in fine shape and stays firmly in place with the original fasteners.

DIMENSIONS, SHIPPING:  Dimensions are 8 inches tall, 13 in wide, and 7.2 in from the front of the knobs to the back panel.  Radio from a smoke and pet free home, spotlessly clean inside and out. Old 6.5 Oz. Coke bottle placed to give better sense of scale and show reflective surfaces.  Put a beautiful working Zenith J615 into your home or collection. I’ve shipped well over a thousand delicate tube radios around the world for 18 years on eBay, so no worries.  Shipping to AK, HI, & PR will be more expensive, so please inquire.
