(Bird-eye Burma Golden Camphor Burl)Lindera is a genus of about 80-100 species of flowering plants in the family Lauraceae, mostly native to eastern Asia.
Lindera metcalfiana grows slow, grow into useful timber at least 50 years. The special colour is golden. The color will be more noble with long time passes. Just because of it’s character. It is one of Burma’s three treasures.

The deck of TITANIC was paved with Lindera metcalfiana. Although in seawater for hundred years, still intact nowadays. Those hoary buildings(HSBC、Customs house、Peace hotel) in Shanghai were using Lindera metcalfiana to make pillar/ handrail/floor ect. The Burma Lindera metcalfiana is rare nowadays.
