Armrest specifics:

Due to the manufacturers design there is a lot of pressure on the slider button of these armrests at all times and over time wear and tear and heat from the sun the button becomes brittle and cracks and then soon after it breaks. When it brakes it brakes off usually half inside in the armrest leaving bits of plastic throughout the assembly. The armrest then no longer slides and doesn't function as normal. I fully disassemble the armrest and remove the broken pieces. I then clean and lubricate the working parts and ball bearings, then I install a new armrest button and bond any cracked structural plastic inside. I then reassemble the armrest and replace any missing or stripped hardware. The result is virtually a brand new armrest with great sliding function ! Listing photos show some of the armrests I've rebuilt as well as some photos of the process and the new buttons I use. This rebuild service is for the mechanical repair of the armrest only ! This service will not fix a ripped, torn, punctured, or discolored leather surface !

Process:

All parts come from clean adult driven 1989-2002 Mercedes benz R129 300, 500, 600SLs and SL 320, 500, 600SLs as well as W140, W210, W202, and W124 chassis cars. All cars are fully functional as a whole and run well. I personally do the transit of these cars to insure they are transported safely. I am parting out a numerous amount of cars and recycling all good/working parts from these cars. I take extra special care in salvaging everything from these sophisticated cars and I look over all the cars and test their parts to the best of my ability before shelving and listing them for sale. The cars and their parts are stored indoors with care at all times. They are never exposed to outside weather elements. I test and mark all the parts that I can. The parts I can't test are believed to be in good working condition however on rare occasion this is not always true as it is impossible to test the entire functionality of every single part that I sell.
