This is a beautiful watch in good, running condition.

THE CASE: The covers and bow are made of coin silver. There is a hand-chased scene on the back cover, and gold accents (rose gold and green gold). Using a testing stone and 10k acid, I tested the gold parts of the watch case and the result were inconclusive. It may be 8-9k solid gold, or a very heavy gold fill. The case is in very beautiful condition with only light signs of wear.

THE DIAL: The dial is very clean. There is a hairline crack near the edge (not visible with the cover on).

THE CRYSTAL: The crystal is made of glass, and has a spall chip near the edge and some light scratches.

THE MOVEMENT: The serial number indicates that the movement is from 1893. Grade No. 64. Winds, sets, and runs well. Loses approximately 2 minutes a day. Probably has not been serviced for a long time, but is very clean.

If you were looking for a Victorian ladies watch, this might be the one: great design, very detailed case, good condition. The only thing I would do to improve the watch is replace the crystal if a glass one could be found.
