In order to avoid the discolouration we advise that you don't wear your nose rings at the gym, during showering, or sleeping, as moisture is the main factor which can trigger tarnishing, also try to avoid long term contact with makeup products, soaps, hairsprays and perfumes, as some of the chemicals contained in those products can speed up the discolouration. Best way to keep your sterling silver in top condition is to use soft cotton cloth, or a silver polishing cloth.
