This is a Genuine Origin Siam wristband which has been lovingly designed and skillfully hand crafted in Thailand by members of our collective.  

This item is made from hardwearing, waxed organic cotton which has been intricately hand-woven to create this beautiful, slim wristband. It's high quality comes from us working closely with the hand-makers to specify the generous use of material to create tight, robust weave. It's closure features a wooden pull-through button and loop.   

The simple design of these wristbands means they look striking worn alone. We have 12 colours available in this style so to create a unique and personalised look, stack a combination of your favourite colours together.

Each wristband is crafted by hand with love and good karma using original specification materials where possible and true to the generations old, original local design. 

Once completed the wristband is blessed and sealed with a personal touch from the maker before being exported to the UK, held in stock by our friends (to save the buyer from issues with import and shipping) and then quickly sent to its new owner once selected by them. 

The handcraft process and blessing are intended to charge the wristband with positive energy, which throughout history is believed to align the wearer with good luck and protection. Those with an alignment to spirituality, energy and Karma often feel the positive energy in these objects as well as specific people and places.

Delivery of your item in the UK is FREE of charge. We offer delivery upgrades for people who require fast delivery within the UK. Despatch beyond the UK will be made from the fastest area (UK or Thailand), usually the UK and delivery within Asia will be made from Thailand using Air Mail.

Based in the Northern rice farming provinces of Thailand bordering Laos and Myanmar, Origin Siam is a long established collective of family, friends and independent hand crafters, who trade original handmade and sacred items at home and Internationally. We handcraft using traditional materials and methods and work under the principles of real fair trade, environmental respect and positive karma.

Over that past 20 years authentic handcrafting has moved away from cities due to industrialisation and the increase in commercial jobs for young people with social mobility.

In rural and remote communities handcraft is still highly valued as a much needed regular income source, particularly favoured by village elders, small holding farmers and those with family commitments or social disadvantage. The craft is often practiced in social groups where skills and income are shared. 

Independent hand crafters are commissioned by us due their unique skills and enjoyment of creating items that people take pleasure from, the income they receive is far greater than they could earn alone. If we occasionally receive items that are not perfect we honour the full agreed price and gift them to local people.

Sacred items within our range, such as Ta-Grut (Amulets), constitute far more than just an attractive accessory and as such their integrity is of the highest importance, especially so with the emergence of mass produced products from factories in Eastern Asia, and sadly, the misrepresentation of these products origins and credentials to trusting buyers. 

No genuine item should be described as magical or a cure for illness or marketed with facial images of popular Buddhist Monks taken from the internet without their knowledge. By definition a practicing Monk will have no interest in material goods and strives for enlightenment through Dhamma and meditation in waking hours, blessings given by such monks are done for the benefit of others free of charge and are not proactively marketed.

Years of experience has shown us the importance customers place in our values and the authenticity/origins of our items in addition to their quality and personal touch from the hands of the maker. Despite the Buddhist origin of a number of our items our customers come from many different cultures and have a variety of beliefs within and outside of religion. 

The wide popularity of these items is likely due to the universal Buddhist values of self improvement, kindness and peace through simplicity which are appreciated by an increasing number of people regardless of faith. 

Blessed and positively charged items can provide a focus point for clearing the mind and attracting good energy, but just as robes do not make a monk alone external conditions and objects do not provide happiness alone, it is for the individual to use such things as tools and reminders.
