Today, Graphic Design is undergoing a renovation process in Cuba, which many years after having been the protagonist of the strong artistic movement of the sixties and seventies, is still a product of unquestionable quality, and which aims to show an authentic expression of the modern man and the development of societies and nations as an effective way to break the old barriers that stand between art and life.

   Originalmente usado por el gobierno cunbano como medio de propaganda politica, el espectro de temas de los afiches Cubanos va mas alla de la politica e incluye la cultura en todo su ambito (musica, cine, literature, teatro). Muchos afiches Cubanos trascendieron su tema y son hoy valorados por coleccionistas de todo el mundo como arte grafico que va mas alla del sujeto que representaron en su dia.

   Hoy por hoy, el Diseño Gráfico vive un proceso de renovación en Cuba, que muchos años después de haber sido protagonista del fuerte movimiento artístico de los años sesenta y setenta, sigue siendo un producto de indiscutible calidad, y que pretende mostrar una auténtica expresión del hombre moderno y del desarrollo de las sociedades y naciones como vía eficaz para quebrar las viejas barreras que se interponen entre el arte y la vida.
