You are looking at a Vintage German Driving School Mechanical Truck Model - Salesman Sample

This amazing model was made by a company named Hohm in the 1950s. At the time, driving students sitting for the truck divers license in Germany needed to fully understand the inner workings of a truck.

Measures 42 x 18" (only model) - Hand made - True to scale

The model is incredibly detailed:

- Engine pistons and overall mechanical driving systems can be turned by the front crank

- Fully functional steering and disc brakes (which work when pushing down the brake pedal)

- Fully functional clutch and gears with cut-open transmission to observe the shifting process

- Fully functional head and rear lights, indicator lights and brake lights (ready to be connected to a power source)

- Fully functional emergency brake

- Too many awesome details to count: ESSO gas tank, paw shaped exhaust pipe cover, fully functional suspension, cut-open rear differential, cut-open exhaust, lighted rear license plate, etc....

Normally, these models are pretty beaten up since they were used for decades in driving schools for demonstration purposes. This one is a salesman sample that was put into a display box right after manufacturing and has never been used since.

A similar (but not in such good shape) one was recently auctioned at Sothebys and another at Bonhams.

Will need to be crated for shipping.
