Up for sale is this 2015 Fender Road Worn Stratocaster. Not only does this Strat look cool, it plays and sounds like a vintage 60s Strat with the upgraded pickups and pots! Except for the upgraded guts and the locking strap pins she is all-original.

CONDITION
Excellent. Except for the obvious relic treatment there is no real wear on this guitar. There is no discernable fret wear, no wear to the fretboard, and no lacquer wear either, except for the sanded back of the neck (which is the way it came from the factory). Note that the headstock's serial number has been edited out for this listing to keep scammers away - it is present in its entirety on the headstock. I was not happy with the original Mexican pickups, so I installed the same type of pickups I have in my favorite guitar (a 1991 Fender USA Reissue of the '62 Stratocaster), and new, top-notch controls. The neck and bridge pickups are from a 1993 57 American Vintage Reissue, while the middle pickup is a RWRP Fender Custom Shop pickup (maybe a Fat 50s?). This Road Worn now truly sounds like a 60s Strat. You won't find a better Road Worn Strat out there - buy it before someone else does!

I have had questions about the neck and body on this guitar. I am not the original owner so I can’t say for sure if the neck was swapped. But honestly: it really doesn’t matter. It is what it is. This is not a collectible, Pre-CBS, 1960s USA Strat so if the neck came from another Roadworn it doesn’t make much difference. Except for the upgraded pickups and controls I installed, it is obviously an all-original Fender Mexico Roadworn Strat. If you’d prefer the maple neck version they are here on ebay too.

I've taken many pictures of this item, but eBay only allots 12 pictures for a listing. Even worse, to "protect" you (yeh, right) they no longer allow any links in listings, not even to pictures (?!). However, if you head to the Reverb website and search for "Roadworn MIM Strat UPGRADED" you can see ALL the high-quality pictures I have taken.

Why ebay shipping costs have become more expensive - It's not just higher costs from the shipping companies. Thank FeeBay, for charging sellers a final value fee on shipping (!!), which forces sellers to raise our shipping costs to buyers. At least 10% of your shipping costs go to eBay and Paypal. If you are ordering from out of the USA, even more goes to eBay global shipping, Paypal (now 4.4% for Intl. sales!) and to YOUR country's duties and taxes. So, please send your complaints about high shipping costs to ebay, Paypal and the USPS - not to me. I don't make money on shipping my items.

My return policy and listing terms

It's not easy to see when you cruise a listing, but I go through a lot of trouble to honestly describe and picture my items in ebay to (hopefully) make returns unnecessary.

Here's my reasonable return and refund policy:
* Please read the listing carefully in its entirety before bidding or buying - people who don't are the people who tend to return items.
* I no longer accept returns through ebay - you must contact me directly for a return. This is why all my ebay listings state "no returns accepted". Sure, I'll still take a return on most items if there is a problem - but I'd rather deal directly with you, my customer, rather than a middleman at ebay who knows nothing about guitar parts!
* You MUST notify me of a problem within 7 days of receipt, and return the item within 14 days of receipt.
* If the return is due to an obvious fault of mine, I'll pay for return shipping. That seems only fair. Otherwise, you pay for return shipping.
* Shipping costs are generally not refundable (I don't get that money back either), but I'm flexible.
* Items that shipped for "free" will have the actual shipping cost subtracted from their refund.
* For eBay sales, buyer must agree to ebay sale cancellation prior to return.
* Items sold "as-is", mean exactly that: no returns for ANY reason. Most of my items are NOT sold as-is.
* I will not accept returns from outside of the USA for any reason.
* This policy is non-negotiable, and by bidding or buying you agree to it.
