Lexicon LXP-15 to LXP-15 II OS v2.0 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT / ROM Update Chip LXP15

• OS v2.0 is the last known firmware revision released by Lexicon for the LXP-15. This upgrade will essentially upgrade your LXP-15 to the LXP-15 II’s functions.
• Included will be 1 new EPROM chip to complete the upgrade.
• All EPROM upgrade chips supplied here are brand new, recently manufactured and sourced directly from ATMEL to ensure data integrity well past our natural lifetime.

The LXP-15 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chip will be supplied.

• Notes regarding the LXP-15 Type II / OS 2.0 upgrade:
• Earlier firmware revisions were plagued with several bugs, stability issues and arguably metallic and uninspiring thin reverbs. Type II / OS 2.0 firmware is said to have resolved these issues as well as the implementation of algorithms from the Lexicon 480 series, bringing your LXP-15 in to a new realm of creative possibilities.
• Completely overhauled preset lineup and more intuitive user interface.
• Older black revision LXP-15's may require modifications made to the main board in order to utilize this upgrade. Newer Blue/Grey LXP-15 units do not require any main board modifications; simply replace your stock EPROM with this one and you will be good to go.

Unlike some others, No used or refurbished as “new” components will be supplied here. Protect your investment!

Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.

All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
