Are you tall? Long Legs? Not enough legroom in your Jimny then?

Here's my solution then! Seat Spacers! These 6mm steel plates bolt to the standard seat mountings on the floor (see second photo of them in development) and then replicate the position of the mounting holes but 2" / 5cm further back.

So, you unbolt the seat (14mm socket, four bolts) and take it out of the vehicle. Then bolt these plates to the mounts on the floor (using the original bolts), and then bolt your seat to the plates but 2" / 5cm further back. Et Voila! Instant Increased Legroom!

The plates are suitable for either side, but I presumed it's only the driver's seat you would want to space back? But, they can be flipped and used on the passenger side if required. The inner bracket (next to the transmission tunnel) is shaped to fit around the wiring loom on either side (yours will probably be under the carpet though!)

Might seem over-engineered, 6mm plate and full-length and all that, but better safe than sorry! ;)

LAST BATCH of TEN pairs - these are too labour intensive to cut by hand... I'm sure one of the bigger suppliers will soon make something similar on a laser cutter...?
