A beautiful and pure quality late 19th century circular occasional chinese/oriental hardwood table, profusely carved all over with mythical beasts, having pierced frieze, undertier and cabriole legs with claw feet. The rosewood / mahogany top has a fabulous glowing patina and is elegantly and skillfully carved.
The table is a very good size, ideal for a large lamp or ornament.
I think however this table has had some work done to it over time as I would imagine that the table had a marble top (but still looks fabulous with a wooden one) and a few dings, However, this is not perfect at all, but nevertheless a beautiful beautiful piece of work (see pics)
