Fantastic Antique Heavy (4.2kg) Hand Carved Hardwood Chinese Qing Dynasty 14"/36cm Water Buffalo Sculpture.

Absolutely fantastic Victorian hand carved sculpture with bovine bone teeth and antique glass eyes in superb order as shown in 12 pictures attached. One horn has always been shorter than the other and I assume it's meant to be this way as that's how it's been ever since I inherited it many moons ago.

Our children have grown up and left home and unfortunately we no longer have the room to display many beautiful items. I do hope I can find this marvellous one off work of art a good home. Absolutely fantastic item and detailed work of a master craftsman and general craftsmanship of the highest order.

The Qing dynasty, officially the Great Qing, was the last imperial dynasty of China. It was established in 1636, and ruled China proper from 1644 to 1912. It was preceded by the Ming dynasty and succeeded by the Republic of China. The Qing multi-cultural empire lasted for almost three centuries and formed the territorial base for modern China. It was the fifth largest empire in world history.
