The crystal trinket is in perfect condition whilst the silver cover has some age related dents as shown in photographs attached.


The hallmark dates this item to the Edwardian era of British history covering the brief reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910 making Edwardian items rather rare and sought after.


The name Douglas has been synonymous with jewellery business for more than one hundred and fifty years. The Douglas history dates back to John Douglas (1759) of Jedburgh, Roxburghshire who was a Master clock and watch maker and his family founded a dynasty Jewellers, Jewellery makers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths. In 1850 a Douglas family member opened a jeweller's shop In Birmingham and the business continued by his children until the death of Mr. George Douglas in 1951.
