This is an antique violin that is marked "Joseph Guarnerius fecit Cremonae anno 1764 IHS" on a label on the inside that you can see by peeking through the hole on the front.  It is in very used condition but it has no breaks or cracks.  It is pretty dirty and has some scratches on it.  There are only 3 strings on it now.  It also comes with a bow.  There are several strings on the bow broke.  It is marked "N IN III".  It also has 3 mother of pearl inlays.  These items are housed in an old wooden case that resembles  a coffin.  It is black in color and is in pretty fought shape with numerous breaks, cracks and repairs.  The straps for the locks have both been cut at one time.  Under the handle there is brass or bronze plate that the handle is attached to that is marked "A. Soncourt Bourmont 11th Marne".  I honestly don't know anything about this violin but I will try to answer any questions that you might have.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.  We will ship this item for a fixed $30.00 via UPS.  We ship all items within 2 business days of receiving payment.  Please study all pictures and ask any questions before bidding.  Thanks for looking!
