Notes: You have the opportunity to acquire a Citizen Independent ITX 21-5131 Cal. U000 Shutter Lens Liquid Crystal Display-Electroluminecent Chrono Alarm Timer Watch. From the title, you can tell there's a lot going on in this unique watch that was only sold in Japan. The Citizen Independent Series had a short run between 1996-2000 as a sub-brand featuring ambitious designs and collaboration models with modern designers. The series was revived in 2008 and remains largely Japan-only series so they are not common to find domestically. This Quartz watch feature a unique square glass crystal tapered to the corners, free of any scratches as it's never been worn. The LCD screen features a unique shutter lens which darkens to the black background so the screen in camouflaged behind the analogue watch hands. The shutter opens temporarily with electroluminescent display using the 4 o'clock button. The 10 o'clock button changes the settings for time, calendar, alarm, 1/100 sec chronograph, and count down timer. 8 o'clock is for quick-view of the digital seconds and date but holding it will go into the settings mode. Unfortunately I don't have the original manual but setting the watch is pretty intuitive. The black PVD case, crown and stainless caseback are in mint condition. The original full length black PVD button clasp bracelet is included and it could probably accommodate up to an 8.75 inch wrist. The original purchase tag is included. The watch has a solid feel on the wrist at 146g. Here's a pretty uncommon Citizen watch with many cool features! Don't miss your chance on this unique JDM watch!
