A Very Popular Jewellery Polishing Grinding Machine With A 4" x 1/2" Polishing Kit

Suitable for Polishing Gold, Silver, Platinum, Chrome and Nickel plated items. Our short length spindle adapters are supplied with this kit, to make it more compact for polishing small items like jewellery.

Assembly - The Bench Grinder and Polishing Kit are supplied separately and need to be assembled. For Assembly Instructions and Kit Contents Please Read Below. Tools required (not supplied) are a 19mm spanner and a Philips Screwdriver. 

Splash Guards (Optional Extra) - These are mounted behind the polishing wheels and catch surplus polish which flies off the spinning polishing wheels during use. These are available to purchase from our Ebay Shop under Ebay Listing # 284916234343

Please Note - the Motor will Run Hot. This is normal. The run time (duty cycle) is 10 minutes on, allow to cool, then continue. Do Not Push Hard against the polishing wheels. This will strain the motor. Using Light Pressure with the correct supplied  polishing accessories will get satisfactory results.

Safety - When polishing using the spindle adapters attached to the bench grinder, suitable safety glasses, gloves and dust mask (not supplied) must be worn

Scratch Removal / Scratched Items - If there are scratches in the item being polished a series of wet and dry abrasive paper / discs etc may have to be used first to remove the scratches prior to the polishing phases. DO NOT use abrasives on Chrome or Nickel plated items as this may permanently damage their surfaces. Use abrasives on gold with care as gold is very soft

These are used to attach polishing mops to the bench grinder shafts.
1 x 4" x 1/2" Swansdown / Canton Metal Polishing Wheel.
Very soft cotton polishing wheels for final buffing
1 x 4" x 1/2"  White Stitch Metal Polishing Wheel.
These are versatile cutting metal polishing mops for general polishing. White stitch metal polishing mops can be used for first stage polishing with Brown metal polishing compound

Assembly - The Polishing Kit is supplied separately to the Bench Grinder and needs to be assembled / attached by the following method. 
Spindle Adapter Fitting
Once the bench grinder side guards and the grinding wheels have been removed (please note that the left hand grinder shaft has a left hand nut), the mop spindle adapters are then slid over the grinder shafts. There is a right hand and a left hand spindle adapter in the kit. Please remove the grub screws in the adapters first and then fit the adapters as far as they will go onto the shaft. Once fitted, reinsert the grub screws (one in each adapter) and tighten them using your allen key (not supplied)
