The VTZ UNIVERSAL is an agricultural tractor produced at the Leningrad plant "Red Putilovets" from 1934 to 1940. and at the Vladimir Tractor Plant from 1944 to 1955.
Tractor "Universal U-2" was the first tractor, released at the Vladimir Tractor Plant.
Also, the Universal tractor was the first Soviet tractor exported from the USSR.
The prototype tractor "Universal" was an American tractor Farmoll (English) Russian. (Farmall F-20).
Tractor "Universal" was intended for inter-row processing of tilled crops with trailed and mounted machines.
Equipped with a 22 hp kerosene engine. The traction class of tractors was considered smaller than the wheeled tractor СХТЗ 15/30.
