A beautiful edition of Barrett-Browning’s sonnet by Astolat Press, a small press out of Guildford England. Beautifully typeset with a lovely frontispiece by George Watts. Like so many small presses, this is a limited edition (15 out of 60) with a leather binding decorated with gilt floral corner pieces. Lovely paper, and well laid-out pages make this an “experience” book. Slight wear to binding at head of spine which has been repaired. Please do not hesitate to email with questions or for more pictures.

Very Good Condition: 12mo, leather binding with gold marble effect endpapers, banded spine with gilt flowers in each band; second band has title in gilt; date 1901 at bottom band. Gilt edges. Bookplate inside front. “Sonnets” by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. London: R. Brimley Johnson. Guildford: A.C. Curtis. 1901.
