A pretty vintage 1980’s ivory wedding dress from Ronald Joyce’s Dante collection. The dress is made from a silky polyester type fabric (there are no fabric labels). The dress has short sleeves with over drape trimmed with faux roses, contrast white chiffon leaves and faux drop pearls. The dress bodice is boned and has elasticated shoulder straps to enable the dress sleeves to be worn ‘off shoulder’. The dress skirt has an apron style drape which is gathered in Victorian ballgown style with faux roses, drop pearls and white chiffon leaves at the gathers, matching the shoulder trim. The centre back waist is trimmed with faux roses, drop pearls and a white chiffon bow with tails. The dress skirt falls to a puddle train. The dress has a white net petticoat beneath.

The dress is shown over a one-hoop petticoat for illustration purposes and this is not included in the sale. The final photo shows the dress without the hoop.

Condition

The dress is in good vintage condition with the following faults:-

There is some light soiling on the lower half of the dress near the hem - see photo.

There is an orange mark on the lower half of the dress skirt - see photo.

These marks may or may not come out with further cleaning.

There may be one or two other minor marks that I have missed.
