U.S.#1009/3 Cent/Grand Coulee Dam/4 Stamp Plate Block/M,NH,Og/Reclamation/Power.

U.S. #1009, picturing the Grand Coulee Dam, commemorates 50 years of Federal assistance in the West managing the resources of local rivers and streams.

I love bridges, dams, buildings and things built on a massive scale. The design on this stamp is busy, but super cool. You will receive the 4 Stamp Plate Block picture. This is a flawless specimen.

The Grand Coulee Dam is massive. As high as a forty plus story building. She has more concrete sunk into her than any other dam in the United States, I do believe. Built on the Columbia River, near Spokane Washington, the dam was completed in 1942. The reservoir forms the huge FDR Lake, and the dam provides irrigation and massive amouts of electricity.
