Very rare Ichimatsu doll, sitting child with original stand. All ceramic, hand painted. both arms had something in them, its missing now. Amazing detail, very unique. made in Japan sticker.

The Ichimatsu doll is named as its face is modeled after that of Ichimatsu Sanogawa, a well known young drama actor in the Edo era. of all numerous Japanese dolls portraying boys and girls, the Ichimatsu  doll is exceedingly charming and conveys Japanese aestheticism.

6.5" tall from head to toe. 6" at widest point.
