Item you are bidding on: Beautiful vintage brown velvet swing opera cape trimmed in gorgeous pelts of natural Fox. This is a custom made cape, age unknown. It came out of a New York estate many years ago, and most likely has seen quite a few lights on Broadway! The cape is one size and is a full circle, and measures 37 inches long from neck to bottom. The condition is excellent with the exception of staining at the very bottom of the back of the cape. Looks like somebody sat in water. Have not tried to clean it but may clean. Actually, when you have the cape on, you do not see the water stain. It's covered up by the fluffy Fox trim or the shimmer of the velvet. You actually have to "turn it a certain way" to even see the stain. Reduced considerably due to the flaw. Retailed for $2,500 at the time!
