This is a tannery run selection and there could be a brand,  some scratches, and maybe a few flesh cuts or a small hole or two, but generally the selection is good enough for saddlery, straps, rifle cases, the list goes on. These sides are leveled at about 11.5 oz., but there are lighter sections in the belly and shoulder that might gauge under 10 oz. The natural russet color should take a stain well and the temper is firm, but flexible enough to work with. The length is about 6.5-7 feet and generally 6-8" longer at the longest point and the width is about 3.25 ft. + or - 1/2 foot and narrower up in the neck area.
