American sterling silver candy or nut
spoons in the Onslow or Georgian Scroll
pattern by A Stone, marked B, for
Edward Billings - Chaser, Designer.
Chasers, finishers, and designers
customarily did not use initials, but
one or two pieces of the 1930s bear a
"B" for Billings. The assignment of
"B"s, "C"s, and "P"s can best be
determined by checking the mark against
the early and later groups of Stone
marks. These handsome spoons are 4
3/4" long and weigh a total of 125
grams or 4 ozs Troy.
The excellent original condition and
clear detail, with no monograms
removals, repairs or alterations, make
this an especially attractive offering. [f960]
