A beautiful large signed
oil by William Watt Milne (1865 - 1949). This is a museum quality work of art depicting a shepherdess and sheep on a
country road. The work is signed and dated 1918 lower left and in perfect
condition - a very well collected painter.
Milne was born in Scotland,
and now his work is featured in several museums and private collections in
Europe and America.
Most of works by Milne can be found in major museums throughout the world. For example:
Milne was one of the artists shown in the 1978 show The Artists of Craigmill and Cambuskenneth at the Smith Art Gallery. Exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and the RSA.
