For your consideration is a vintage IBM Actionwriter 1 electric typewriter. This is the model 6715-001. the model was made in Germany and was designed for versatility for schools, offices and home use. It has the 10, 12 and 15 pitch size, correction and a heavy impression for forms plus many other features. It used a daisy wheel. All keys were tested as you can see on the typed page. The suggested retail price for this typewriter was $585 in 1985. It was truly a breakthrough in the typewriter age. This typewriter was kept covered by it's original vinyl cover. It does have some aging (yellowing) to the case from age, but intact. This is the portable model of the wheelwriter. They later came out with a printer option so that it could attach to your computer and still use it as a typewriter as well. Great value for a vintage typewriter. Handle stores under the typewriter.
