is a Gorgeous Pair of Gilded Empire French Louis XVI fauteuil chairs, dated: Late
19th - to Early 20thCentury, decorative rectangular
shaped frame with beaded spinal flowers. Partially padded elbow rest with open
ram’s horn arms; acanthus motif below the arm support and roundels (see
photos), supported by decorative Tudor fluted legs, "Truly one of kind
pair". Original muted gilding and newly upholstered in brocade satin
damask.
Condition: Expect normal wear common considering the
age of the chairs, nicks chipping on the surface of the gilt and worn on the base of the feet,…very
substantial heavy pieces.. Due to the nature of the item, vintage and
antiques; all items are offered as is condition, final sale.
