This is a vinyl decal and can be placed on smooth walls or other non-porous but smooth surfaces.  It is 20" long by 14.25" tall.  Once applied to your surface it will appear painted on.  There is no background color.  IF your paint contains VOC the VOC in the paint will NOT allow it to stick to your surface.
