It is CNC laser cut metal insert between end trim and cargo cover, really easy to install and perfect fit.

In the cargo cover is shaft which is tensioned in cargo cover end caps. Whole end caps are plastic and old so tension brake them after years of use and degradation from sun. 
Repair kit is metal plate with notched tube which fit inside of end caps. 
So you just put it on cargo cover shaft, roll it on and tensioned it fit end caps over it and cargo cover is back in working order.
