  • Lithographs issued in the 1960 by Shorewood Publishing and its agent companies, such as Penn Prints, represent the gold standard of 20th Century American fine art reproduction. These lithographs were painstakingly produced to match the colorimetry of the originals, with the most accurate possible detail and subtlety. Paper and inks were carefully chosen for the most felicitous effect. They cannot be compared to most recent fine art prints and giclées, even of identical images, in which the colors, tonality and details are often dull and imprecise by comparison.
