This is a veg tan leather that has a high oil content to make it durable and pliable and also gives it a two-tone look. It is perfect for bags and straps which require some stand-up without being rigid. The length is generally in the 50"-54" range, but extends up to 60" at the longest point. This is a quality piece of leather, but if you don't agree we'll be glad to take it back within 30 days after you receive it for a full refund of the price of the leather.
