Antique Silver FOB CHAIN w/ HUNTER CHARMS MINIATURE FIGURINES Bavaria 1900s
Chain fobs such as this were used as good luck charms and as jewelry decoration, as well as for holding keys or pocket watches. This type of fob chains were mostly used to be attached to pocked watches and as decorative chains on coats.
The fob presented here is from the early 20-th Century, Bavaria region. It is hunter-themed and highly elaborate.
The chain itself has a wonderful design, very elegant and artistic. There are 7 miniature figurines and charms attached via
hoops to the chain. The chain and the figurines are all made of Silver 835. The figurines are 3D and very detailed.
All have symbolic meaning. There is a pair of young deer teeth and one tooth-shaped coral with silver sockets, there are two coins / medals with seafare / travel motifs St.George relief, one wax seal ornament with Princess Maria-Teressa, one horse and one wild pig figurines. The wild pig has two Rubis as eyes.
The chain has two clasps - one large spring ring clasp and one small crab-claw clasp.
Normal minor wearing. In excellent antique condition!
