This Hybrid Titanium and Chrome finish Cigar pen is a really nice pen that features a rich plating with a clear epoxy coated and makes it very durable and will last for many years.  The pen has a premium, double twist mechanism and is a large diameter pen that has really nice heft and feel and writes like a dream. 

 

The material on this pen is a beautiful, gorgeous peice of Highly Sugi and black we Trustone.  Tru-Stone pen blanks are made from approximately 85% natural stone ore that is pigmented and combined with a gem resin. The resin, which is specially formulated for the pen turning industry.


These take lots of patience and they dull tool very quickly but they are really nice and quite expensive but worth the money and the effort as they just have tons of charactor and contrasts and just match perfectly with the Hybrid metal finish Cigar pen I paired it with it’s glassy smooth finish that has been sanded and polished by hand with 12000 grit micro mesh to a high luster.  It then is followed by a wet polishing process that make this just really shine and pop.  Then it gets 2 layers of the world’s best, albeit very expensive but awesome friction wax.  

  The pictures do not do this justice it is so full of color and is just a one of a kind treasure.    

 

The Cigar pen uses a Parker style ballpoint refill. The pen is 5 1/2" long and over 1/2"diameter at the widest point. This pen will also accept the new Parker Gel refills or even PDA stylus inserts.  You can pick up the refills at most office supply stores or if you need additional refills, I keep a small supply that I can sell you.

 

I only make 1 or 2 pens a day and each and every one is handcraft by me in my shop.  The pen you see in the listing is the pen you will receive.  I will happily make a custom pen of just about any kind and from just about any wood or just about any material you could choose and because of my low volume I can get to it pretty quickly.  I do not use and duplication tool so each pen is a 1 of kind original.  I hand pick from over 30 species of gorgeous wood from all over the world for its grain, spalt, burl, and just unique characteristics.   The pen started out in my shop as a rough piece of wood which goes through a many step process to produce a one of a kind working piece of art.  Every pen that I make is different in shape, color and pattern. 

 

The pens are made from a solid piece of wood with the grain oriented to match between the two barrels of the pen.   It was turned by hand on my lathe in my small shop by me.

 

My pens are 1st quality and painstakingly made and have a really nice heft and feel and are a real pleasure to write with and the make excellent gifts but be advised that once you get one of these in your hands you wont want to part with it. Some gift ideas include:
