Korean Celadon Vase with Flying Cranes and Cloud Design

A Korean vase with a celadon craquelure glaze with a flared rim above an elongated neck tapering into a pear-shaped body decorated with motifs of flying white cranes and clouds, the "thousand cranes" design, common to Korean Goryeo ware from the twelfth century, all set on a short straight foot with the underside of the base signed with maker's marks. Measures: 12 ½ x 6 ½ inches diameter in the middle.
