While Izaak Walton is more known for his work on fishing, The Compleat Angler, but he also wrote biographies of various men he liked and admired, among them Mr. Richard Hooker, an English priest, considered one of the most influential theologians of his day. This compilation of three volumes contains Walton’s biography of Hooker, and Hooker’s Works on “Ecclesiastical  Polity, and other topics pertinent to religious thought during the Reformation including providing many members of the Church of England with theological guidance in regards to a revelation, reason and tradition. The three volumes are in plain publisher’s boards covered with blue paper and have the pages untrimmed.
